A blend of Californian style and Mexican heritage makes Nipomo’s incredible line of blankets and accessories what it is. California-based Mother and daughter team, Elizabeth and Liz, who themselves are Mexican, collaborate with traditionally trained weavers in central Mexico to create Nipomo’s traditional blankets with modern vibrant colors. The upcycled yarn used in each Nipomo blanket is derived from remnants from the clothing manufacturing process. Each Nipomo blanket is handwoven in Central Mexico. Nipomo baskets are handwoven with biodegradable, naturally dried palm leaves. Nipomo is a women-owned company and all makers and artisans they employ receive fair wages and work in clean, safe work environments.
