Handcrafted by women artisans living in Central Uganda who are part of a cooperative that provides employment and training for disadvantaged or marginalized communities — particularly widows, the disabled and those living with HIV/AIDS. Weavers hand make each basket from home while tending to other household duties. Baskets can take days to weeks to complete with artists weaving 3 or so hours per day while balancing other responsibilities.

No two baskets are identical - there will be slight variations in size and color from the one shown due to the handmade nature of each product. Each basket is both special and unique

Exchanges and returns for store credit are free for your first request of any eligible* item. Returns for a refund, and subsequent exchange and return requests are subject to a $7.95 fee for shipping and handling. You must initiate your return/exchange within 30 days of order fulfillment. Discounted and sale items that are not marked final sale up to 40% off are eligible for exchange or store credit within 30 days.

All returns and exchanges must be unworn, unwashed, unused, and in original condition with tags to be eligible for return. Made Trade does not take responsibility for lost or stolen packages once they are marked as delivered by the shipping carrier.
