Silk Road Bazaar’s artisans in Karakol, Kyrgyzstan make the world’s cutest fair trade baby booties and slippers. While cute and playful elephants, dalmatians, and strawberries adorn the outside of these adorable children’s products, each piece is also a celebration of the traditional handcrafting techniques of the Kyrgyz people. Locally sourced and sustainably harvested, their artisans take natural wool and felt and hand-stitch them into children’s booties. Their artisans handcraft each piece with little to no electricity. Silk Road Bazaar is fair trade certified and pays living wages to all their artisans and makers.

Super cute! Not sure that baby will really wear them, guess that depends on the parents. The only disappointment and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is that the dyed colors are not as bright in person as they are in the photo. Otherwise, the product is well made, the price reasonable for the amount of work that goes into making them, the service/delivery, etc., were all great!
