Ichcha doesn’t just create a line of beautiful home products, they also work to greatly improve the lives of their women artisan partners in India and to promote the heritage craft of block printing, hand weaving, and hand embroidery. Ichcha is committed to having a minimal impact on the planet by only working with natural vegetable dyes made from flowers, leaves, minerals, trees, and bark. This ensures their products are safe for their artisans, consumers, and the earth. Ichcha’s handwoven fabrics are made from chemical-free cotton, handspun, and intricately woven on nomadic looms.

Through partnerships with NGOs, Ichcha’s artisans are taught both Hindi and English, and receive medical checkups for themselves and their families. Ichcha’s artisans also set their own prices. Each piece is designed in New York by the three sisters who run Ichcha and are handcrafted by women artisans in rural communities all across India.
