An Australian brand, Days of August uses 100% reclaimed stainless steel to create each of their incredible jewelry pieces and accessories. Each piece is filed, polished, sanded, spot welded and finished — all by hand.

All Days of August products are sustainable with no chemicals used in their production; vegan with no animal products used or harmed; and are cut from reclaimed metal that is excess from a local Australian machinist. Days of August is also carbon neutral, using solar panels to power the studio where all their jewelry is made and committed to plant more than 300 trees each year in rural areas of South Australia to offset the entire brand’s carbon emissions.

Fair Trade
Our Fair Trade international brand partners work with makers and artisans outside the US and are committed to paying living wages, providing safe and healthy working conditions, sourcing materials local to their region wherever possible, and implementing eco-friendly practices across their manufacturing processes.
Sustainable
Our sustainable brand partners are committed to responsible sourcing and intentional design that creates minimal negative environmental impact. Some of their methods may include sustainably harvesting raw materials, upcycling/recycling used materials (such as plastic or dead stock fabrics), or using all natural, earth-friendly materials (such as plant and mineral-based dyes).
Vegan
Vegan products on Made Trade contain no animal products or byproducts. We curate vegan brands who source natural materials as sustainably as possible, do not use polyurethane or other synthetic faux leather materials (instead use plant-based faux leathers, such as Piñatex or mushroom leather) and implement fair business practices with their suppliers and their employees.
