These beautiful slippers are fair trade and handmade in small batches by women artisans in Patagonia, Chile with 100% locally sourced, sustainable materials. Each pair of Chilote’s authentic, award-winning, sustainable wool slippers is knitted by hand in Patagonia, Chile by women artisans and crafted from 100% Patagonian sheep’s wool. Sustainability and adhering to ethical standards are at the heart of Chilote’s mission. Chilote uses salmon skin, a by-product of the fishing industry, to create the salmon leather that is used as the sole of their slippers.

Chilote has no factory. Instead, each pair of slippers is slow-made in the homes of Patagonian women living in rural areas. Chilote’s lead artisans in Patagonia work independently orchestrating their local network and production process to ensure a beautiful, quality product every time.
