Blown out bike inner tubes, old seatbelts, and old advertising banners are typically all bound for the landfill. But not at Alchemy Goods -- they upcycle and salvage what many would consider trash to create their unique line of sustainable products. Their upcycled materials are sorted, cleaned, and manufactured into backpacks, messengers, bike bags, and accessories all made in Boulder, Colorado.
After the founder of Alchemy Goods had his messenger bag stolen he realized the used bike innertubes in his basement could be fashioned into a messenger bag. A sewing machine and many bag iterations later, Alchemy Goods sources the reclaimed inner tubes used in their products from cyclists and bike shops all across the United States. Alchemy Goods is B Corp certified and believes strongly in the triple bottom line: profit, people, and the planet. Their products are vegan, upcycled, made with deadstock fabrics, made from natural materials and they pay a competitive living wage to all their employees.
