KINTO specializes in creating beautiful, durable porcelain vessels and tableware with a timelessly modern aesthetic deeply rooted in Japanese traditions. Every piece is made with the highest standards and is expertly crafted in Japan with high-quality clays by artisan craftspeople. KINTO’s porcelain is produced in two regions of Japan, Hasami in Nagasaki prefecture and Tono in Gifu prefecture. Japanese porcelain making dates back more than 1300 years in Tono, and the porcelain making techniques used in Hasami are more than 400 years old. KINTO employs local craftspeople from the villages around Hasami to keep the heritage artform of porcelain making alive and thriving.
