Born and raised in Morocco, founder and designer Dounia Tamri-Loeper, was influenced from an early age by Morocco's rich culture and artistic aesthetic. Dounia’s beautifully designed home products and Moroccan lighting help to preserve Morocco's heritage craft of metalwork. Dounia Home works exclusively with Moroccan artisans who use traditional metalworking techniques passed down through generations. Thoughtfully hand-etched, hand-polished, and hand-sealed, each Dounia Home piece adheres to the highest quality. All artisans employed by Dounia Home receive on average 30% higher wages because Dounia Home products are Direct Trade. Artisans also set their own price for the pieces they create. Each piece consists of natural minerals mined in Morocco. Their team employs zero waste standards for the solid brass, copper, and nickel silver metal they use.
