CEREMONIA emerged from founder Carina’s love of travel and desire to share unique gifts with family and friends. After spending several months in Southeast Asia experiencing local ceremonies and connecting with artisan families, Carina created CEREMONIA as a way to provide dignified income opportunities for these families and their villages. Many of the communities CEREMONIA works with have been hit hard by decreased tourism in 2020, creating an even bigger need for stable employment. CEREMONIA’s artisans create stunning handcrafted mirrors, macrame planters, tassels, and other home goods that celebrate nature and the act of ceremony. Working with natural and locally-sourced materials, the artisans use methods and traditions that have been handed down for many generations to make each design a one-of-a-kind work of art.
