We are heartbroken to share that Made Trade officially closed and ceased all operations in February 2025. Any website or online presence currently claiming to be Made Trade or using our name, logo, or branding is not affiliated with us and should be considered a fraudulent representation. This includes madetradeus dot com which is a scam website.Over the course of seven years, we poured our hearts, constant energy, and life savings into building Made Trade as the best online destination for ethically made and sustainably sourced goods. We, alongside our dedicated team, created this company to champion artisans, independent makers, and small businesses from around the world, while offering customers a more responsible way to shop.Made Trade was a mission-driven startup. We grew steadily, reaching tens of thousands of customers and supporting hundreds of ethical brands. However, despite our growth and traction, the broader investment landscape remained difficult, especially for women-founded, impact-focused companies. We were never able to close our full seed round of funding, despite years of effort and strong business performance. Ultimately, this lack of capital made it impossible to sustain the business, and we were forced to make the devastating decision to close Made Trade. We understand that our closure has caused frustration and disappointment, and we are sorry to those affected. We are aware that misinformation is circulating online, and feel it’s important to speak directly and transparently about what happened. To our brand partners, customers, vendors, investors, and supporters: thank you. Thank you for believing in our mission and being part of the Made Trade community. We are deeply proud of what we built together.
